About Richard

Richard Durrington is a conservative political commentator, professional voice actor, podcast producer, and veteran stage performer with decades of experience in storytelling, entertainment, and creative production.

With approximately 50 years of theatrical stage experience and 12 years in professional voice-over, Richard has spent much of his life developing the skills that allow him to bring stories, characters, and conversations to life.

Today, Richard lives in southern Idaho near the Oregon border with his wife of more than five decades. The couple enjoy retirement on their 3.5-acre property, where Richard continues pursuing his passion for creative media and meaningful conversation.

Richard is the co-host and producer of the weekly Stay Off My Lawn Podcast, alongside his friend and fellow voice actor Mike Tarnow.

Their friendship began through shared voice-over training and an online old-time radio production titled My Friend Irma, The Best Christmas Ever, in which Richard cast Mike.

As their friendship developed, they discovered they shared many of the same interests, especially conservative politics, American current events, and the direction of the country.

Eventually, they realized the conversations they were already having could become something more.

That idea gave birth to the Stay Off My Lawn Podcast.

Despite living thousands of miles apart, with Richard in Idaho and Mike in Georgia, the two have developed an entertaining partnership built on friendship, humor, political discussion, and a shared appreciation for honest commentary.

Richard plays a major role behind the scenes, handling the podcast's video production while also writing, recording, and producing the show's introduction and outro. Mike's son contributed the music used throughout the program, adding a family connection to the production.

A listener once compared their partnership to a sports broadcast, describing Mike as the play-by-play announcer and Richard as the color commentator.

It's a fitting description of the natural chemistry that makes their show entertaining.

Together, they embrace the phrase "Informatively Funny!" — a reflection of their commitment to presenting information honestly while finding humor in the political and media landscape.

For Richard, podcasting is more than political commentary. It is an opportunity to combine a lifetime of creative experience with friendship, independent thought, and the freedom to speak openly about the issues shaping America.
