About Barry

Barry Pomerleau is the creator behind Back to Basics, a conservative political content platform built around facts, civil discussion, and the belief that people should be able to disagree without becoming enemies.

Barry started creating content because he became frustrated with seeing emotion placed ahead of facts in political debates online. He wanted to create a space where people could slow things down, look at the information, talk honestly about difficult issues, and have real conversations even when they do not share the same views.

Barry is a loyal conservative who stands firmly in what he believes, while also respecting the right of others to hold different opinions. Agree or disagree, he believes people should still be able to treat one another with respect.

A major part of Barry’s message is reducing the division that has become so common in politics. He believes too many friendships and relationships are damaged simply because people see political issues differently.

Through Back to Basics, Barry encourages people to have civil discussions, listen to opposing viewpoints, defend their own beliefs with facts, and understand that sometimes agreeing to disagree is perfectly acceptable.

At the heart of his platform is a simple principle: judge people by their hearts, not solely by their political opinions.

While politics is the primary focus of his content, Barry also mixes in sports and humor to keep things relatable and give his audience a break from the constant intensity of political news.
